Residual House launches today — a small press for strange books that stay with you. We publish work that leans toward the uncanny, the rigorously odd, and the quietly devastating: new novels, short-story collections, and essays that prefer a slow burn to a pyrotechnic finish. Our first offerings arrive from two imprints: Predatory Cosmos (weird and speculative fiction) and Outer Dark Press (literary work at the darker edge).

What to expect here: careful editions, unhurried attention to cover art and typography, and writing chosen for resonance rather than trend. We’ll post author interviews, reading notes, and occasional dispatches from the editorial desk about how a book moved from manuscript to finished object. If you like long sentences that do more than merely describe, you’re among friends.
